Privacy

This is what we collect, why, and who sees it.

What we collect

• Your email address, to sign you in and to send statements and notices.
• The artist name you choose, the credits you enter, and the song and cover files you upload, which are the service. The files are kept in private storage and are only sent to the stores.
• Payment records from Stripe: what you paid and when. We never see your card number.
• The stores' stream and royalty reports for your releases, so we can pay you.
• Basic server logs (address, browser, time) for security.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data. We do not run advertising trackers on this site. We do not share your email with anyone except the providers needed to run the service (hosting, email delivery, Stripe).

Your releases

Your artist name and your releases are public on the stores by design. Your email is not. The legal name you enter as the writer goes to the stores and the rights societies as a credit, because that is how a songwriter gets paid.

Keeping and deleting

We keep your account data while you have an account, and payment and royalty records for as long as tax law requires. Email support@taprelease.com from your account address to delete your account. Releases on the stores are taken down first, then the account is removed. Your uploaded files are deleted with it.

One cookie keeps you signed in. That is all.
